【摘要】:Thispracticeisdesignedtoenableallmanufacturersandusersofmembraneswitchestoperformvisualinspectionsunderuniformconditions.Theaimistoeliminatekeyvariablesintheinspectionproceduressospecimenscanbeviewedmoreobjectively.Viewingspecimensundertheseconditionscouldrevealcosmeticdefectsinthespecimen.Manyofthesedefectsorflawsareduetovariablesintherawmaterialsorthemanufacturingprocess.Thesecosmeticflawsordefectsdonotnecessarilymeanthatthespecimenisdefective.Thedeterminationofwhetheraspecimenisacceptableordefectivevarieswiththeapplicationandtheneedsoftheuser.Therefore,customerandvendormustagreeonacceptablequalitystandardspriortomanufacturing.Thispracticedoesnotestablishstandardsforacceptabilityofspecimens,onlyhowtheymustbeviewed(inspected).Thispracticeisnotintendedtobeusedforcolormatchingpurposes.Colormatchingmustbeperformedundermorepreciselightingconditionsoutsidethescopeofthispractice.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforperformingvisualinspectionofmembraneswitches.Thisincludesvisualinspectionofoverlaysandcircuitry.1.2Thispracticedefineslightingparameters,distancefromeyetospecimen,viewingangle,andtheviewingtimeallowedforaspecificsizespecimen.1.3Thispracticeisonlydesignedforvisualinspectionofaestheticqualitiesofmembraneswitches.Itisnotintendedforcolormatchingorglossmeasurement.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
