【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedforuseasarapidqualitycontrol,acceptance,andassessmenttest.Resultsareobtainedinfivetofifteenminutesonmostmaterials.SincetheinstrumentparametersareadjustedtoproducethesameresultsasTestMethodD2369,whichtakesoveronehourtorun,thetimeandeffortexpendedondeterminingtheoptimalconditionsfortestingacoatingwiththisinstrumentalmethodisvaluablewhennumerousmeasurementsaregoingtobemadeondifferentlotsorbatchesofthesamematerial.Also,theautomationofthemeasurementandthecalculationsshouldleadtofewermistakesbeingmadebyless-trainedoperators.1.1Thistestmethodisusedtoobtainrapiddeterminationoftheweightpercentnonvolatile(solids)contentviainstrumentallossinweighttechnology.ItisnotmeantasareplacementforTestMethodD2369.1.2Thistestmethodisprincipallyintendedforqualitycontrollabsandmanufacturingenvironmentswherepreviouslycharacterizedmaterialswillbetestedrepeatedlyfordifferentbatchesorlots.1.3Thistestmethodcanbeusedforwaterborneandsolventborneresins,intermediatesandfinishedpaintproducts.Thistestmethodmaynotbeapplicabletoalltypesofcoatings.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.
