【摘要】:Theabrasionresistanceoftilesurfacesisdeterminedbyrotationofanabrasiveloadonthesurfaceandtheassessmentoftheresultantwearbymeansofvisualcomparisonoftheabradedtestspecimensandnonabradedtiles.Astainingagentinlightoilmaybeusedtohelpdeterminewhetherabrasionsurfaceislikelytoresultinmechanicalentrapmentofdirtparticles.1.1Thistestmethodisdesignedtomeasuretheresistanceoftilesurfacestovisiblesurfaceabrasion.Certainirregularsurfacesmaynotbeevaluatedproperlybythistestmethodbecauseofwearpatterns.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisproceduredoesnotmakeprovisionsfortheapparentdifferenceinabrasionvaluesbetweenlightanddarkcoloredtile.1.4Thisproceduredoesnotoptimallyevaluatelossofglosswithabrasion.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
